  • Introduction

    Maghrebi writers, more particularly Algerian writers, who are now writing, display an aesthetic of disjuncture in their productions at the formal, narrato-discursive or linguistic level; they do in formlessness and excess, in what some call "textual violence". Marginality as the driving force of their scriptural machinery becomes the signature or the trademark of these "avant-gardists" preoccupied by a movement of renewal and inventiveness whose distancing and transgression are echoed. current writers place unconventional beings at the heart of the action because they are situated at the dawn of norms both in terms of their textual composition and the status they display or the values they defend. Rebellious, dissident, refractory to all forms of sociality, these "anti-heroes" are undeniably part of an isotopy of transgression; In short, the novels of the extreme contemporary offer the reader atypical figures that break the accepted stereotypes and defuse the clichés.
    The anticonformist submerges the current literature to the extent that the modernist writings give a preponderant place to the "anti-subjects" in their space of fiction.
    Such is the case of writing in the Maghreb in the modern era, where emblematic and mythical figures inhabit the diegesis, both protagonists and antagonists of the facts, enunciators of a corrosive saying, and delegates of society. of the world where they live. Moreover, the temporality becomes dislocated as well as the disjointed space lacking referentiality. the strategies deployed then become part of a kind of rupture and favor fragmentation and fragmentation effects. the verb becomes violent, the speech rebels, the vulgar words, etc. in short, we are in tune with a modernist and revolutionary literature in the great maghreb.

  • Guidelines for Submission

    Manuscripts can be submitted until the expiry of the deadline. Submissions must be previously unpublished and may not be under consideration elsewhere.

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal and will be listed together on the special issue website.
